RAYBORNS RETURN
BRANDS HATCH AUGUST 7-8
CRMC 20th Anniversary
Cal Rayborn III, son of the legendary Cal Rayborn Jr. who electrified huge crowds at Brands Hatch in 1972 and 1973 will return to the Kentish Circuit to ride the very same ex-works XR750 Harley-Davidson used by his late father Cal Rayborn Jr. twenty six years ago! Cal III is an alumnus of Team Roberts Yamaha. His first Team Obsolete outing was at the Dutch TT Trans Atlantic Match Races on June 24 and 26.
In 1972, Cal Jr. rode the diminutive Harley, now owned by Team Obsolete, to victory in three out of six Trans Atlantic Match Races including Brands Hatch. This was the first time an American rider had ever won major road races in the U.K.
Cal III will be joined by teammates Dave Roper, the only American to ever have won the Isle of Man TT , and multi-time Daytona winner Erik Green. Roper will ride an ex-works BSA III, Green will ride an ex-Tom Kirby Racing G-50 Metisse, both supplied by Mike Braid Equippe.
Come meet Cal III at Brands Hatch on August 7-8.
KEVIN CAMERON, DAVE ROPER, MIKE GONTESKY, DON VESCO, AND GORDON MENZIE.
