TRANS ATLANTIC MATCH RACES™ AT THE DUTCH TT
ASSEN, HOLLAND —JUNE 24 - 26, 1999
The Dutch TT, host of the Worlds Premier F.I.M. Motorcycle Grand Prix, has invited Team Obsolete Promotions, LTD., to produce a round of the Trans Atlantic Match Races™ for Historic Bikes. The TAMR Series is on an " informal world tour," having had highly acclaimed rounds at Daytona, Laguna Seca, and Cadwell Park (U.K.)!
The format pits the best USA Historic Riders and bikes against their best UK/Euro counterparts.
There will be two races over two days on the legendary, 3.8 mile (6km) Circuit van Drenthe, on Thursday night, and on Saturday, immediately after the 500 G.P. Each team will be divided equally between Historic 500’s and F-750’s.
Grand Marshall will be Six Times World Champion Jim Redman. He will do some demo laps on the World Famous Honda "Six". Special guest Giacomo Agostini will parade on the trusty MV 500/3 that he used to win fifteen World Championships.
Spectator Attendance will exceed 100,000!
