Mosport 2000

Yvon Duhamel, Dave Roper, and Erik Green were in action this past weekend at Mosport International Raceway in Ontario. There was a high turnout for the three days of Vintage Road Racing, and Team Obsolete added to the affair with their three riders as well as bringing along two AJS 7Rs, a Matchless G-50, and a 1971 BSA III that was formerly raced by Dick Mann. Dave Roper and Erik Green each took a first and second place win on the 7Rs, Roper coming in a close second on the 350cc 7R behind a larger 500cc machine in the Warwick Cup British Only race.

Yvon Duhamel was in top form, dominating the first day of heat races and winning the trophy with the BSA in the McGill Masters series for riders over the age of 50. That was unfortunately the Great Road RacerŐs only first place finish of the weekend, as both the BSA and G-50 developed ignition problems on Finals day.
